About Me

Hi, I'm Kelsey.

The first thing that most folks notice about me is I have a natural knack for standing up and taking the lead. I’m always looking to learn and am not afraid to speak up or fall down because I believe that’s how we grow. A creative problem solver with an unquenchable entrepreneurial spirit, my track record shows a consistent blend of creativity and strategy in an ever-evolving world of technology. I can lead complex, cross-functional team meetings and client presentations with ease. I know when to bring in the expert and let my cohort's talent and expertise shine. I listen with empathy and openness to my team’s needs, from the bigger picture to the smallest detail because implementing operational changes can immensely impact productivity. I thrive in uncovering new, effective workflows then documenting, and training the techniques to ensure a smooth and satisfying experience for everyone.

As an eager learner with a desire to improve continually, I am currently pursuing my project management certification to obtain PMP certification from the Project Management Institute. My expertise spans managing projects using Agile Methodology and leading diverse teams of engineers, technical and creative directors, strategists, and vendors. I thrive on achievement and would like to land somewhere to continue to focus on my team’s successes and further improve my operational leadership skills.

I recently left my role in audio production because I finally felt I was ready to grow, but first I wanted some time to relax and focus on me because, after working since I was ten years old, I’ve earned it. I loved production because it gave me a unique vantage point into all the agencies I partner with - what works, what doesn’t, and how to talk to everyone in the room. From clients or vendors, with budgets big to small, creatives or c-suite execs, I can talk to just about anyone. I gather and assess bids, write bids, execute vendor contracts, cast talent, hire music composers, license music, hire freelancers, balance budgets and timelines, and do it all with tact and grace.

Please see my resume if you'd like to learn more about me. If it sounds like we should get to know each other, email me at hello@kelseyjwoods.com.

Volunteer

I have a love for the outdoors. From 2016-2019, I was a leader for a women's outdoor adventure company called the Bold Betties. The mission was to empower women to try new things and get outdoors. The company had 120 chapters across the U.S. and Canada. For my chapter, I hosted and coordinated events for our 1,000+ local chapter members - everything from backpacking trips to day hikes, and whitewater rafting to SUP, snowshoeing, and everything in between. I’m proud to say that my chapter was one of the most successful chapters in the company. I met with the founder and CMO regularly to work on the company. I learned a lot about myself leading other women in the outdoors. These days, I just plan trips for my two dogs, family, and friends.
